The MicroTEC Academy works with renowned experts and has set itself the task of gaining international top leaders for the cluster region and researching and developing further education measures in the field of microsystem technology.
One of its goals is to continue the education and training of academic and vocational specialists in the fields of automotive, life sciences/medical technology, mechanical engineering/ production technology and automation/sensor technology. The academy offers a wide range of courses – from seminars that last a few days on topics such as microelectronics to courses that accompany professional training for IHK Certificate courses, all the way to the Masters? course for “Intelligently Embedded Microsystems” (IEMS) at the University of Freiburg. These offerings are also directed at young academics from foreign countries.
The MicroTEC Academy advises and accompanies the members of the leading-edge cluster when they want to conceive their own range in the area of Blended Learning. Classroom teaching and e-learning are combined so as to guarantee learning success even for those employed full-time. For this purpose, the MicroTEC Online Academy makes various services and products available to its members. These include the authoring tool “e-dit” and the learning management system “OLAT”. With their help, companies can, for example, school their customers online, post a multimedia instruction manual on the internet or use an image film on the worldwide web to get young people enthused about high tech and grab the attention of new career-starters.
